- AI character (OC) configurations you create

2. How We Use Your Information
- Account management: To create, verify, and maintain your account.
- Matching & recommendations: To suggest people with shared interests using AI-powered matching.
- AI features: To generate personalized icebreakers and conversation suggestions based on your profile and interests.
- Communication: To send verification codes and important account notifications.
- Safety: To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms.
- Improvement: To analyze usage patterns and improve the app experience.
3. AI Data Processing Notice
Before you use Sonder AI features, please review how your data is processed.
Data sent: Your chat text, voice recordings, uploaded images, prompts, and related request metadata needed to process the AI feature.
Processed by: Sonder's proprietary AI models, developed and operated by our team. All AI processing is performed exclusively through our own infrastructure.
Purpose: To generate AI replies, conversation suggestions, character interactions, and voice-related AI outputs that you request within the app.
Critical Clarification:We do not transmit any user chat, image, voice or prompt data to any external third-party AI service providers. All AI reasoning and content generation logic runs on our self-operated proprietary servers, with no data shared with outside AI vendors of any kind.
4. AI and Your Data
Sonder uses AI to enhance your experience. Specifically:
- Your interest tags and profile information are used to compute compatibility scores and generate personalized suggestions.
- Conversation context may be used locally on your device to generate topic suggestions. We do not store your private conversations on our servers beyond what is necessary for message delivery.
- We do not use your private messages to train AI models.
- AI-generated content (replies, images, voice outputs) is created in real-time.
5. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:
- Service providers: Third-party vendors who help us operate the platform (cloud hosting, analytics), bound by confidentiality agreements.
- Analytics: Adjust SDK collects anonymized usage analytics to help us understand app performance.
- Legal requirements: When required by law or to protect our legal rights.
- AI Processing: AI functions are fully processed on our internal infrastructure. No user data is shared with third-party artificial intelligence service providers.
6. Data Retention
- Account data is retained while your account is active.
- You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time through Settings.
- Some data may be retained for up to 90 days after deletion for legal and safety purposes.
